Bike Rack Program

The Capital Region Bike Rack program was part of a set of Travel Demand Management (TDM) strategies administered cooperatively by CDTA and the Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC). Funding was provided by the regional TDM allocation under the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality program administered by the FTA.  This program provided for purchase and shipping only; bike rack installation, maintenance, and any necessary permits are the sole responsibility of program participants (i.e. site owner, business owner, etc.).  Successful applicants could receive:

·         Free bike racks for the public and non-profit sectors, up to $1,000 value,
·         50/50 cost sharing for the private sector, up to $1,000 total value (up to $500 from the Bike Rack Program)
