(Albany, NY)  – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that Schenectady Operator Robert Rzeszuto placed 6th in the 2013 annual New York State Bus Roadeo competition recently held on Long Island. A total of eighteen operators competed from transit agencies across the State.

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) Board of Directors today approved parking lot expansion and entrance and exit enhancements at the Rensselaer Rail Station. Construction is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks and be completed in November.

CDTA Announces Service Re-routes to Accommodate Lark Fest 2013

ALBANY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Saturday September 21, 2013, from approximately 5:00am – 8:00pm, buses will be rerouted in downtown Albany to accommodate Lark Fest 2013. Lark Street from Madison Avenue to Washington Avenue will be closed due to the Festival. The following routes are affected:

    (Albany, NY) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced a couple of reroutes to occur in downtown Albany this week.

    On Thursday September 12, 2013 at 12:45pm to 1:30pm 2nd Ave between Elizabeth Street and Sloan Street will be closed due to a small parade march. Route # 6 Second Avenue will be affected as follows.

    (ALBANY) -      The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Friday, September 6, 2013, from approximately 5:00-7:00pm, CDTA service will be rerouted in downtown Albany during the Labor Parade.  Washington Avenue between S. Swan to Broadway and State Street will be closed to traffic. Reroutes are as follows:

    (ALBANY) - The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2013, CDTA buses will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Only bus routes that normally operate on Sundays will be in service. Regular weekday service will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
