Draft Plan Available To Highlight Proposed Route Network Changes

ALBANY, N.Y. (October 14, 2015) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced today it will hold public workshops to gather feedback on a draft plan for the restructuring of services in Saratoga County.

The draft plan was created following a series of workshops held earlier this year where the public was given the opportunity to provide feedback on where transit services could have the most impact. Once the draft plan is presented and feedback is collected, CDTA will finalize the new routing with plans to roll out the service changes in spring 2016.

CDTA is restructuring the route network services to better align services to demand because Saratoga County is seeing growth and changes to where people live and work. A similar route restructuring was conducted back in 2007, leading to significant ridership increases. Subsequent restructurings in Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady Counties have propelled ridership to record heights alongside growth of CDTA’s Universal Access ridership program.
