SwiperGuaranteed Ride HomeGuaranteed Ride Home Program The Guaranteed Ride Home Program is just one of the benefits of using the CDTA Swiper, our lower cost monthly bus pass. If you have to work late or have a midday emergency, The CDTA Swiper will get you home –free of charge. Some restrictions apply.* Here's How It Works! CDTA Swiper card holders can arrange a Guaranteed Ride Home simply by calling our hotline at (518) 437-8300 ext 6845 anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Rides must be arranged prior to 5pm, but are available up until 11pm. Call us and we'll take the necessary information and arrange for your transportation by taxi. When your transportation arrives, just present the driver with your Swiper and identification. The driver will complete a voucher and have you sign it. There is no charge for the ride. You must have a valid CDTA Swiper to take advantage of the Guaranteed Ride Home Program. Guaranteed Ride Home Checklist When you call to arrange for a Guaranteed Ride Home, please be ready to supply us with the following information: • Your CDTA Swiper serial number
• Detailed information on your pick-up and drop-off locations. (Please be as specific as possible about the door, exit or side of the building at which you would like to be picked up.) • The time at which you want to be picked up. • Any special circumstances or needs. • A number where you can be reached so that we can confirm your Guaranteed Ride Home. • Guaranteed Ride Home is only available in CDTA's regular route service area.
• Guaranteed Ride Home service will only be provided if regular route bus service is not available to transport customers. • Guaranteed Ride Home service is available Monday through Friday until 11pm. Service must be arranged prior to 5pm. Service is not available on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. • Customers will be limited to two Guaranteed Rides per month and six per calendar year. • Taxi service must be arranged by CDTA. Customers cannot arrange their own transportation directly with a taxi or other vendor. • The service is available only to those with Swipers. Additional riders accompanying you must pay for their own cab fare. • The taxi service is non-exclusive (other customers may board during your trip). • Customers will forfeit their right to Guaranteed Ride Home privileges if they do not use the service after it has been arranged.
