Accessible Services

CDTA Accessible Services

CDTA is committed to providing mobility services to everyone in the Capital Region. We are proud to offer a variety of solutions for those who need assistance or special accommodations.

Seniors and those with disabilities pay half-fare to ride regular fixed-route buses.

Low-Floor/Lift-Equipped Buses

Low-Floor/Lift-equipped buses operate on CDTA's regularly scheduled, fixed routes. The lift is a special feature which allows customers who use wheelchairs to board regular buses safely and quickly. For information about these buses or the routes on which they operate, see our service areas page, or call CDTA's Information center at 482-8822.

STAR (Special Transit Available by Request)

STAR is a paratransit service which provides curb-to-curb transportation, on an advance reservation basis, for people with disabilities who are not able to ride a regular fixed-route bus. STAR is available in areas where CDTA's regular route service is provided. The fare for all trips is $2.00. Users must be certified to use the service.

For more information about the service or the certification process, visit our STAR service page, or call 482-2022.
