Congressman Tonko, Transportation Advocates Hold Rally

ALBANY, NY (Friday, May 16, 2014) Marking Transportation Week, Congressman Paul Tonko (NY-20), the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, and representatives from the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) held a press conference and rally at the CDTA Garage in Albany. Congressman Tonko and other community leaders called for major federal investment in our nation’s infrastructure in the form of a new, bold and long-term transportation bill.

CDTA To Reroute Service For 2014 CDPHP Corporate Run

(Albany, NY) –The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at approximately 5:00pm, service will be rerouted to accommodate the 2014 CDPHP Corporate Run in downtown Albany. Reroutes will cease after the event is finished. Routes affected are as follows:

CDTA May Service Changes Now In Effect

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA)  announced the following service changes went  into effect on Sunday, May 25, 2014. The changes included improved access on New Scotland Avenue, additional service to Wilton Mall and more service options on the Northway Xpress. Some of the changes made schedules more reliable, while areas with low ridership saw reductions.

Capital Region kids designed and created posters with the help of Music Mobile that will be displayed on many of CDTA’s buses all in the name of safety.

CDTA Announces St. Patrick's Parade Reroutes

(ALBANY, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Saturday, March 15, 2014, buses will be rerouted in downtown Albany from approximately 2:00pm until the end of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. CDTA will also reroute buses in North Albany from 11:30am - 1pm for the  North Albany Limerick Parade.
