CDTA TO REROUTE DOWNTOWN ALBANY SERVICE THIS WEEK

(Albany, NY) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced a couple of reroutes to occur in downtown Albany this week.

On Thursday September 12, 2013 at 12:45pm to 1:30pm 2nd Ave between Elizabeth Street and Sloan Street will be closed due to a small parade march. Route # 6 Second Avenue will be affected as follows.

  • 6 Second Ave Northbound: Regular route until Frisbie Ave, Right on Frisbie Ave, Left on McCarthy Ave, Left on So Pearl St to regular route.

  • 6 Second Ave Southbound: Regular route until 2nd Ave & So Pearl St, continue on So Pearl St to Right on McCarthy Ave, Right on Frisbie Ave, Left on 2nd Ave to regular route.

     

On Saturday, September 14th, from 6:00am-6:00pm, CDTA service will be detoured in downtown Albany during the reconstruction of the intersection of State Street and Eagle Street. The following routes affected and detours are as follows:

Detour: All lines that use Washington Avenue to Downtown Albany to Eagle Street to State Street will use the following reroutes: 1, 10, 12, 13, 18, 182, and 905.

Eastbound: Washington Ave, to Pine St, Right Lodge St, Left State St to regular route.

Westbound: Regular route to State St & Lodge St- Right Lodge St, Left Pine St to regular route on Washington Ave.

22 Lines Southbound: Broadway, Right Pine St, Left Pearl St, (Drop off at Ten Eyck Plaza across from Rite Aid) continue on Pearl St, Right Market St (along Times Union Center), thru the tubes to P-1 to Madison Ave regular route until Washington Ave & Eagle then follow above reroute.

22 Lines Northbound: Regular route until Washington Ave & Eagle St, bear left on to Pine St, Right on Lodge St, Left on State St to regular route.

214 Line Westbound: Regular route until So Pearl St exit, Right on So Pearl St, Right on Hudson Ave, Left on Broadway, Left on Pine St, Left on Lodge St, Left on State St to regular route.

214 Line Eastbound: Regular route from Hudson & Broadway.
