Facilities Manager Rail Station

Description

Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), the Regions number one mobility provider, is looking to fill the Facilities Manager at the Rail Station position.  Working at CDTA, you will be a part of a team that provides essential services to the Capital Region.  

General Duties:
•    Ability to establish and implement a preventative maintenance program.
•    Ability to implement procedures regarding life safety issues such as lock out, tag out, OSHA requirements, etc.
•    Responsible for service satisfaction at the properties and developing positive relationships with the tenants.  
•    Work with the Director of Facilities to prepare annual operating budgets for the buildings and ensure that buildings operate within these parameters.
•    Request purchase orders and review and approve vendor invoices in a timely manner.
•    Manage building personnel and service groups in accordance with company policies and goals.
•    Provide a scope for bid, award and administration of service contracts with Director of Facilities approval.
•    Ensure a safe and quality environment for employees, tenants and the general public.
•    Budget, and after approval, manage maintenance projects.
•    Work effectively with local Planning, Zoning, Fire and Building departments as needed.
•    Review all construction plans and make appropriate comments on any new or existing projects.
•    Responsible for implementation and oversight of all maintenance contracts.
•    Review and approve timesheets of the building personnel.
•    Ability to problem-solve a wide variety of building issues.
•    Overall responsibility of all subcontractors at the building.
•    Train all new building staff in their responsibilities and company policies.
•    Management of contractors and consultants required in building maintenance projects. 
•    Manage all certifications, licenses and permits required for the facilities.
•    Work with the Director of Security to implement changes in security policy.
•    Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:
•    At least 10 years’ experience managing personnel and facilities
•    Well versed in the public procurement process.
•    Well versed in contract administration including knowledge of prevailing wages, Davis-Bacon Act and Certified Payroll.
•    Knowledge on how a building is structured, the working parts in it, and what components are needed to keep it functioning.  
•    Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electricity, and other facility systems. Computer literate, knowledge of blueprints and fire and security systems.

Compensation:
$60,521-$71,414
