Service will Operate on a Sunday/Holiday Schedule for Christmas and New Year Holidays
ALBANY, NY (December 19, 2023) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, 2023 and New Year's Day, Monday, January 1, 2023.
There will be no Northway Xpress (NX) or Thruway Xpress (TX) commuter services. Regular weekday service will resume on the Tuesday after each holiday. The CDTA Sales window will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2023 and Tuesday, December 26, 2023 as well as Monday, January 1, 2024 and Tuesday, January 2, 2024. It will reopen on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 and Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
CDTA will once again offer free rides on New Year’s Eve to assist with STOP DWI efforts across our service area. Beginning at 8:00pm on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2023 until the end of the transit day, approximately 2:00am on January 1, 2024 service will be free of charge.
Customers looking for more information about holiday service can call CDTA’s Customer Service Center at (518) 482-8822. Customer Service Representatives are on duty 6:00am-7:00pm weekdays, 8:00am-6:00pm Saturdays and 8:00am-5:00pm on Sundays/Holidays.
