America250 Bus Will Be on Display at the Empire State Plaza Fireworks Show
ALBANY, NY (July 1, 2026) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Independence Day, Saturday, July 4, 2026. FLEX will also run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Saturday, July 4.
The CDTA Sales window at 85 Watervliet Avenue in Albany will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, and will reopen on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 9 a.m.
CDTA will provide additional service to accommodate New York State’s Fourth of July Celebration at the Empire State Plaza, including special service that will operate after the fireworks are done. Extra buses will be available on Washington Avenue between South Swan and Hawk Streets at the conclusion of the fireworks display. CDTA will also have its America250 commemorative bus on the Empire State Plaza on July 4 for people to enjoy and take photos with.

Customer service representatives are on duty 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and holidays.
