Annual Summer Fun Pass and Seasonal Services Provide Affordable, Convenient Access for Customers and Community
ALBANY, NY (June 26, 2026) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is helping customers make the most of summer with the return of popular seasonal services and programs that connect people and families to parks, attractions, employment opportunities, and outdoor adventures throughout the Capital Region.
The Summer Fun Pass offers unlimited rides on CDTA buses for youth ages 17 and under from July 1 through August 31. The pass provides an affordable way for young people to travel throughout CDTA's service area for summer jobs, camps, parks, pools, and other activities. The pass is available for purchase at the CDTA Sales Center, located at 85 Watervliet Avenue in Albany, and at the Saratoga Springs Train Station, 26 Station Lane in Saratoga Springs.
CDTA’s popular Saratoga Summer Trolley returns Friday, July 3, coinciding with the opening of the Saratoga Race Course. The trolley will operate free of charge for customers through Labor Day weekend thanks to a partnership with NYRA Bets and Saratoga Casino Hotel. Operating Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 10 p.m., the trolley provides convenient service between downtown Saratoga Springs, local hotels, Saratoga Race Course, Saratoga Casino Hotel, and other popular destinations.
For more than three decades, CDTA has connected customers to Grafton Lakes State Park, and that tradition continues this summer. Beginning June 28, Route 96 will operate seven days a week through Labor Day, providing service between downtown Troy and Grafton Lakes State Park. Buses travel along Hoosick Street and offer a convenient, affordable way to access one of the region's most popular outdoor destinations. The complete schedule can be found at www.cdta.org.
