Albany Division Claims Trophy for 2019 Competition

ALBANY, NY (June 6, 2019) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is excited to announce the top finishers of the 34th annual Bus Operator Roadeo competition held earlier today at UAlbany. More than 30 Operators were judged on a scored course, consisting of 12 different driving challenges. Local law enforcement officials volunteered time as judges assessed contestant driving skills, knowledge of safety rules and time performance.

First Place: Dallon Morris, Albany Operator, 4 years of service

Second Place: Dena Wager, Troy Operator, 12 years of service

Third Place: Denny Dyal, Schenectady Operator, 17 years of service

Rookie Award: Narajan Dubaria, Schenectady Operator, 1 year of service

Superintendent Award: Steve Wacksman, Superintendent of Maintenance

The top three finishers will represent CDTA at the New York State Operator Roadeo held in the fall. NYS Roadeo top finishers will have the opportunity to compete in the International Roadeo held annually in the spring.
