CDTA Announces Service Schedules for the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays

CDTA Holiday Service Schedules in Effect For Christmas & New Year’s Day

ALBANY, NY (December 17, 2018) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will be operating on a regular weekday schedule on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, 2018, and on Sunday/Holiday schedule Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Regular weekday service will resume on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.

On New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31, 2018, service will operate on a regular weekday schedule. To help support Capital Region Stop DWI efforts, CDTA will offer free bus service at all regular bus stops from 8:00 pm on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31, 2018, through the end of the transit day, approximately 2:00 am on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Please check your trip to make sure your service is running. 

CDTA is once again offering special Saratoga First Night transportation on New Year’s Eve. Attendees who show First Night buttons may ride for free on all regular Saratoga bus routes and special shuttle routes from 4:00 pm to the end of the transit day.

On New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2019, service will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule. Regular weekday service will resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

CDTA’s Northway Xpress (NX) commuter service will not operate on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Regular NX service will resume the day after each holiday. Customer Service Representatives are on duty weekdays from 6:00am–7:00pm, 8:00am–6:00pm on Saturdays, and 8:00am–5:00pm on Sundays and holidays.
