CDTA Upgrades to a More Efficient Parking Payment System at the Rail Station
ALBANY, NY (December 6, 2023) The Capital District Transportation Authority is upgrading the parking and payment system at the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station to help make the entry and exit process quick and seamless for travelers. These changes will enhance customer convenience and efficiency. There are now three main options for how to pay when leaving the rail station.
- Pre-Payment – Customers can pre-pay through their mobile devices before they return to the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station. Simply scan the QR code on your ticket, and it will direct you to the secure payment website where you can pay via credit card. Ensure you present the generated QR code within 60 minutes of leaving for a quick and convenient exit.
- Pay Stations – People can pay on the concourse of the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station before going to the parking garage or lot. Customers can make payments using either a contactless credit card or cash. Scan the QR codes on your ticket at the pay station and complete your payment. When exiting the garage or lot, ensure you scan your QR code within 60 minutes.
- Exit Lanes – Customers are also able to pay at any of the garage’s exit lanes, which are open 24/7. To pay, scan the QR code on your ticket and complete the transaction using a credit card. It’s important to note only credit cards will be accepted at exit lanes, no cash.
If customers need further assistance, they can tap the “Help” button, which will connect customers to a parking attendant who will assist with the transaction.
