All Active Duty Military Members and Veterans Eligible for Promotion
ALBANY, NY (February 15, 2019) The Capital District Transportation Authority and the Albany Patroons have teamed up to award four VIP seats to the club’s home games at the WashingtonAvenue Armory for active duty military members or honorably discharged veterans and their guests. The “Seats for Service Members” are given out at all 16 home games, including playoffs.
“We are excited to partner with the Patroons to honor area military members, veterans and their families,” said Jonathan Scherzer, CDTA Director of Marketing. “The CDTA team appreciates and respects the sacrifice and contributions made by service men and women so this is a great way to support our local team and give back to those who have given so much.”

Members of the community can nominate an active military member or honorably discharged Veteran to CDTA at marketing@cdta.org, on the CDTA Facebook page (@ridecdta) or to the Patroons at michael@albanypatroonsbasketball.com.
Please make sure to include the service member's name, branch of service, and reason for nomination. One winner will be selected at random from all nominations and announced prior to each home game. CDTA will provide gift baskets for all 16 game winners, to be awarded and presented court side as fans join along in honoring service members.
