February 22, 2011

(Albany, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will provide special express shuttle service for attendees of the 2011 NYSPHSAA Wrestling State Championship event to be held at the Times Union Center in Albany on Friday, February 25, 2011.  CDTA’s shuttle service will help reduce traffic congestion near the Center and provide attendees with easy access to the event.  The shuttle service will operate as follows.

On Friday, February 25th, CDTA will operate a shuttle service approximately every 30 minutes from 9:00am to 6:00pm between the Times Union Center and the Albany Port Park and Ride lot on 21 Broadway.  Riders will be dropped off and picked up for their return trip at the corner of Pearl and Market Streets.  Customers who wish to use the shuttle service to avoid potential parking and congestion issues, may purchase a $4.00 Day pass on the bus.  The purchase of the Day pass allows riders access to the shuttle services between the Times Union Center and the Park and Ride lot and on any CDTA bus throughout the service day.

Those who plan to attend the event should allow extra time to travel, park, and arrive at the center on time.
