CDTA Announces Memorial Day Service and Parade Reroutes

(ALBANY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2013, buses will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Regular weekday service will resume on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. In addition, service will be temporarily rerouted to accommodate various Capital Region Memorial Day parades. The parade schedules and reroutes are as follows:

 

 

Wednesday, May 22:
·         5:30pm: Scotia parade: Routes affected: #50, #353 Scotia-Mount Pleasant
·         7:00pm: Waterford parade. Route affected: #85 Waterford- Troy 

Thursday, May 23:
·         6:00pm: Green Island parade: Route affected: #182 Troy-Cohoes-Latham
·         6:00pm: Rotterdam parade: Route affected: #763 Albany-Schenectady
·         6:30pm: Saratoga parade: Routes affected: #50, #472 Lake Avenue, #473 Jefferson
·         7:00pm: Cohoes Island parade. Route affected: #182 Troy-Cohoes-Latham 

Saturday, May 25:
·         9:00am: Ballston Spa: Routes affected: #50 Route 50  

Monday, May 27:
·         9:00am: Albany parade: Routes affected: #1 Central, #10 Western Ave, #12 Washington Ave, #13 New Scotland Ave,
      #18 Delaware Ave, #22 Albany-Troy-Watervliet, #100 Mid City Belt, #214 Rensselaer Third Street/Amtrak,
      #905 Albany-Schenectady via Rte 5

·         10:00am: Watervliet parade: Routes affected: #22 Albany-Troy-Watervliet, #182 Troy/Cohoes/Latham/Albany,
      #370 Troy/Schenectady

·         10:30am: Lansingburgh parade: Routes affected: #80 Troy/Albia, #85 Waterford/Troy
·         1:00pm: North Greenbush Memorial Day Parade. Route affected: #280 Troy/Albia
