CDTA TO PROVIDE FREE RIDES AND SPECIAL SHUTTLE SERVICE FOR 2014 SARATOGA FIRST NIGHT ATTENDEES

Authority Services Support Capital Region’s Only First Night Festivities 

(Albany, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will once again provide complimentary shuttle service, co-sponsored by Saratoga Arts, to Saratoga First Night attendees on December 31, 2013. Additionally, CDTA’s Saratoga bus service on Route #50 (Route 50), #472 (Lake Avenue), and #473 (Jefferson Avenue) will be free for all customers who show First Night buttons from 4:00pm – 1:00am.

CDTA will operate the First Night route loop using two special shuttles going in each direction. The route will travel from Congress Park to City Center on to Lake Avenue to Nelson Avenue to Union and return to Congress Park before running in the opposite direction. Special CDTA service will operate every 15 minutes. CDTA supervisors will be stationed at Congress Park to assist as needed.

Customers can access Saratoga First Night information, including the shuttle route, by visiting Saratoga-arts.org. CDTA is holding a facebook contest for the best Saratoga-centric New Year resolutions with 10 winners picking up FREE First Night Buttons. Anyone interested in participating can visit CDTA’s facebook page at facebook.com/CDTAiride. Contestants must post their resolutions by 11:59pm on Sunday December 29 and winners will be notified on Monday December 30.
