CDTA Launches New QR Code Stickers at Bus Shelters

November 25, 2025

Customers are encouraged to report their concerns to help keep shelters clean

ALBANY, NY (November 25, 2025) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is rolling out new QR code-enabled stickers at bus shelters across its service area, giving customers a quicker and more convenient way to report shelter-related concerns directly to CDTA.

The initiative is part of CDTA’s ongoing commitment to enhance customer experience and improve the safety and cleanliness of CDTA’s amenities throughout the Capital Region.

“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for customers to let us know when something needs attention,” said CDTA CEO Frank Annicaro. “These new QR stickers create a direct channel between riders and our teams so we can respond more quickly and keep shelters clean, safe, and welcoming.”

Riders will now notice these white and blue stickers placed inside shelters. Each sticker highlights that the use of the shelter is for CDTA customers only, while waiting to board CDTA buses and a QR code that, when scanned with a smartphone, connects riders to a quick online form where they can report issues and provide a picture, helping crews assess issues before arriving on site.

Anyone needing more information about reporting shelter concerns can visit https://www.cdta.org/forms/shelter-report or contact CDTA’s Customer Service Center at (518) 482-8822. Customer service representatives are on duty 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday and from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and holidays.
