Veterans who were honorably discharged service members qualify for half-fare pricing on all CDTA fixed-route services. To qualify for the benefit, Veterans will be required to provide a DD-214 Form, Discharge Papers, Separation Documents, Veterans Health Identification Card, Veterans Identification Card, NYS Driver’s License with official Veterans marking, or a Return the Favor Card. Veterans looking to join the program will need to get a Navigator Half Fare ID card to access this benefit. A Navigator Half Fare ID card can be picked up, with supporting documentation, at CDTA’s Sales Center in Albany (85 Watervliet Avenue), CDTA’s Troy Division, Schenectady County DSS (by appointment) and the Saratoga Springs Train Station.
