Wear Green on Earth Day and Ride Free

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), YNN (Your News Now) and PYX 106 invite the public to wear green on Earth Day, April 22nd and ride free on CDTA. This free ride promotion extends to people who use CDTA’s regular route, NX Northway Commuter and STAR paratransit services.

CDTA Helps The Census Get The Word Out

Census Day Nationwide is April 1

On Thursday, April 1  the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) showcased the internal Census sign for bus riders. The internal sign reminds bus commuters how important the Census is and urges them to mail back their census form. Census messages are also on the electronic sign panel facing the public on the outside of the buses.

(Albany, NY) – CDTA will provide special shuttle service to accommodate those attending the NCAA Hockey Tournament held at the Times Union Center in Albany on Friday, March 26, 2010. CDTA shuttle service will help reduce traffic congestion near the Center and provide attendees with easy access to the event.  

Albany St. Patrick's Day Parade Reroutes

ALBANY, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Saturday, March 13, 2010, buses will be rerouted in downtown Albany from approximately 2:00pm until the end of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

CDTA Announces New Full Service Sales Outlet in Albany

(ALBANY, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that effective Monday, March 15, 2010 all CDTA fare products will be sold out of its new Sales Office located at 85 Watervliet Avenue in Albany, at the intersection of Watervliet Avenue and Watervliet Avenue Extension. Sales Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. The 110 Watervliet Sales Office located in the Industrial Park will no longer sell passes.

PRICE CHOPPER AND CDTA LAUNCH iride ADVANTEDGE PROGRAM OFFERING SHOPPERS AND RIDERS BUS PASS DISCOUNTS

(ALBANY) – Price Chopper and The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) have partnered to introduce an innovative extension to the supermarket chain’s Fuel AdvantEdge program which will offer CDTA riders an opportunity to pay less to ride CDTA by using their Price Chopper AdvantEdge card.

(Albany, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will provide special express shuttle service for attendees of the 2010 NYSPHSAA Wrestling State Championship event held at the Times Union Center in Albany on Friday, February 26, 2010. CDTA shuttle service will help reduce traffic congestion near the Center and provide attendees with easy access to the event. The shuttle service will operate as follows.
