CDTA is bringing the Don’t X Out Public Transit campaign to its riders. The advocacy campaign opposes proposed federal cuts of 30% to transportation. Public transit is crucial to stimulating the economy and connecting people to jobs. Cuts to transit funding will likely force transit agencies to reduce service and/or raise fares, compromise the safety and quality of transit service, lead to major job loss and negatively impact the Capital Region’s quality of life.

(Albany, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced the top place finishers of the 2011 State Roadeo competition held on September 24th, at Crossgates Mall. The competition was co-sponsored by the New York Public Transit Association and New York State Department of Transportation and hosted by CDTA. The top three finishers are as follows:

(Albany, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is offering the public an opportunity to participate in a free English Language Learner (ELL) program to begin on Thursday, September 8, 2011 and held at the CDTA Technical Training Center at 110 Watervliet Avenue in Albany. The program, to be taught every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5pm-8pm, will give CDTA employees and community members the opportunity to enhance their English skills through a curriculum that focuses on reading, writing and speaking.

(ALBANY) - The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2011, CDTA buses will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Only bus routes that normally operate on Sundays will be in service. Regular weekday service will resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
