CDTA ANNOUNCES JULY 4TH HOLIDAY SERVICE SCHEDULE

(ALBANY) - The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Sunday, July 4, 2010, in observance of Independence Day, CDTA service will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Only bus routes that operate on Sundays and Holidays will be in service. CDTA will also operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule Monday, July 5, 2010.

OPERATOR STRAIT FINISHES FIRST PLACE IN 2010 CDTA Roadeo

(Albany, NY)  – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced the top finishers of the 2010 CDTA annual Bus Roadeo competition held on June 16, 2010 at SUNY Albany Campus, Dutch Quad parking lot. This is the 23rd CDTA Bus Roadeo competition organized since 1985.

(Albany, NY) - The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) today announced the opening of a series of unique solar-powered bus stops that will provide safer, cleaner and environmentally-friendly waiting areas to serve riders on one of its busiest routes along Central Avenue between downtown Albany and Colonie.
 

CDTA GRAFTON SUMMER PARK SERVICE

(ALBANY) - The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is providing special weekday summer service to Grafton Park from Tuesday, July 6 – Friday, September 3, 2010.

CDTA has provided Grafton Park service for over 25 years. Customers can board Grafton Park buses at any CDTA bus stop along the route. Amenities offered by the Park include: picnic areas, beach swimming, hiking trails, bicycling areas, nature trails, fishing, playground and boat rentals. The schedule is included below.

CDTA TO REROUTE SERVICE TO ACCOMMODATE SOAPBOX DERBY

(Albany, NY) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13, 2010, service will be rerouted to accommodate the Soap Box Derby in downtown Albany. Madison Avenue between Eagle Street and Swan Street will be closed 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11 through 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 13th. The CDTA reroutes will be in effect during the same time. The routes affected are:

CDTA Announces Reroutes for the Freihofer's Run for Women

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced that on Saturday, June 5,2010, buses will be rerouted to accommodate the Freihofer’s Run for Women events.  Madison Avenue, between Eagle and Swan Streets will be closed to all traffic.

CDTA TO PILOT BUS SERVICE ON ROUTE 9

 The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) route 409 operates on Route 9 between the Northway Exit 9 area and downtown Saratoga Springs. The route, #409 “Clifton Park, Malta, Saratoga Springs Shuttle via Route 9” will serve neighborhoods, mobile home parks, apartment complexes, businesses, and shopping centers located in Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Round Lake, Malta, and Saratoga Springs. Customers can transfer to the NX Northway Commuter Services at Exit 9/Crossings Park and Ride lot.
