The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will implement service changes on Sunday, May 24, 2026. In addition to routine updates and seasonal adjustments, these changes mark Phase Three of CDTA’s ongoing service rebalancing effort. 

(ALBANY, NY April 20, 2026) The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will implement service changes on Sunday, May 24, 2026. In addition to routine updates and seasonal adjustments, these changes mark Phase Three of CDTA’s ongoing service rebalancing effort. This phase is designed to help address a budget shortfall. All adjustments have been guided by detailed data analysis to minimize impacts on customers while maintaining reliable service. Customers should review schedules and check trip times for the following routes:

Frequency Updates:

  • Route #182 (Albany / Cohoes / Troy ) – Trips will run every 35-40 minutes during peak hours on weekdays, every 60 minutes on Saturdays, and every 90 mins on Sundays.
  • Route #351 (Van Vranken Ave - Broadway) – Trips will run every 35 minutes during the afternoon peak and every 50 minutes at night on weekdays.
  • Route #353 (Scotia – Mt. Pleasant) – Trips will run every 25-30 minutes during the day on weekdays, every 30 minutes on Saturdays, and every 40 minutes on Sundays.
  • Route #404 (Hudson Falls / Fort Edward) – Trips will run every 40 minutes on weekdays and every 65 minutes on Saturdays.
  • Route #411 (Glen St / Walmart) Trips will run every 70 minutes on Saturdays.
  • Route #412 (Glen St / Aviation Mall) – Trips will run every 70 minutes on Saturdays.
  • Route #450 (Schenectady -Wilton via Route 50) – Trips will run every 40 minutes during the day on weekdays, every 50 minutes on Saturdays, and every 55 minutes on Sundays.
  • Route #905 (BusPlus Red Line) – Trips will run every 12-15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night on weekdays, and every 15-20 minutes on Saturdays.

Span Updates:

  • Route #1 (Central Ave) – Eastbound service will start at 5:40am on Saturdays.
  • Route #10 (Western Ave) – Eastbound service will start at 5:55am on weekdays.
  • Route #13 (New Scotland Avenue) – Eastbound service will start at 6:12am on Saturdays. Westbound service will start at 6:15am and end at 11:05pm on Saturdays.
  • Route #18 (Delaware Avenue) Westbound service will end at 10:57pm on weekdays.
  • Route #22 (Albany – Troy via Watervliet) Southbound service will end at 11:35pm on Saturdays.
  • Route #87 (Hoosick St - RPI) – Eastbound service will end at 9:55pm on weekdays. Westbound service will end at 10:30pm on weekdays.
  • Route #100 (Mid-City Belt) Service will end at 11:25pm on weekdays. Counterclockwise service will end at 10:48pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Clockwise service will end at 11:00pm on Sundays.
  • Route #106 (Uptown Belt) – Clockwise service will end at 11:29pm on weekdays. Counterclockwise service will start at 5:25am and end at 11:30pm on weekdays.
  • Route #214 (Rensselaer 3rd Street) – Westbound service will end at 10:20pm on weekdays.
  • Route #355 (Schenectady Wolf Road) – Eastbound service will end at 11:44pm on weekdays. Westbound service will end at 12:00am on weekdays.
  • Route #402 (Bay / College) – Service will end at 7:00pm on weekdays.
  • Route #404 (Hudson Falls / Fort Edward) Northbound service will end at 7:00pm on weekdays.
  • Route #600 (Amsterdam Neighborhood Belt) – Service will end at 9:00pm on weekdays.
  • Route #601 (S. Amsterdam / Route 30) – Service will start at 6:00am and end at 6:30pm.

Seasonal Reductions:

  • Route #12 (Washington Avenue) – Frequency and span reduced to summer levels.
  • Route #114 (Madison Ave. – Washington Ave.) – Weekday and Saturday frequency and span reduced to summer levels.
  • Route #910 (Purple Line BRT) – Frequency and span reduced to summer levels.
  • Route #224 (Albany – Troy Via I-90) – Weekday frequency and span reduced to summer levels.
  • Route #452 (Skidmore College/Downtown Saratoga) – Service suspended for summer.
  • Route #286 (Troy/Wynantskill) – Trips after 9:30pm suspended for summer.

Seasonal Services:

  • Route #96 – Return of Grafton State Park service for summer on Sunday, June 28.
  • Route #875 – Return of Saratoga Trolley for the summer on Saturday, July 4.
  • Route #872 – Return of the Albany County Nature Bus on Saturday, May 23.
  • Route #876 (Glens Falls - Lake George Trolley) – Return of the Lake George trolley on weekends beginning Sunday, May 24. Trips will operate approximately every 25 minutes.
  • Route #877 (Lake George - Bolton Trolley) - Return of the Lake George trolley on weekends beginning Sunday, May 24. Trips will operate approximately every 20 minutes.
